Kumari Sangeetha is a student of 3rd year B.E at B.M.S College of Engineering, Bangalore, India. She has been learning Kuchipudi dance form under the patranage and guidance of Guru Dr.Veena Murthy Vijay for the last 17 years And Kathak from Guru Sri Somashekar and Smt Soumya. She has won the hearts and admiration of her gurus through her total dedication and hard work. She has successfully given more than 600 performances at her age of 21. She has proved herself to be efficient, effective and energetic.

I am currently studying 3rd year engineering at BMSCE. I am a part of their dance club and the volleyball team. I’ve been a part of the college fest as a co Ordinator (utsav) and also taken part in other college fests for the dance competitions and won. I have also played volleyball matches and won a few.

Professional Experience

Kuchipudi and Kathak rangapravesh

2009-2013

I did my kuchipudi rangaprevesha back in 2009 when I was 9 years old. it took place at Ravindra Kalakshetra, Bangalore.
Around 1000+ people were present for the show. It was a 3 hour non stop program. Eminent artists like Veena Murthy Vijay, Vasundhara Doreswamy, R K Padmanabha were the chief guest and guest of honor of the program
I did my kathak rangamanch in 2013 when I was 13 years old. This took place at Chowdiah memorial hall, bangalore.
Almost 2000 people were present there. It was also a 3 hour long performance. Esteemed artists like Sai & Suparna Venkatesh, Somashekhar and Sowmya Somashekhar, Mysore B Nagaraj gave wonderful feedbacks about the program.
The audience enjoyed every bit of the program. Wonderful and compliments were given. It was truly a heaven on earth moment.

Across the globe

I gave around 15 shows in the US at different states and I can’t begin to tell what a pleasure it was. The people there are so supportive and encouraging. The performances I gave at the temples were so blissful.
I received awards and token of appreciation at every place. They even offered to sponsor my travel and stay the next time I go to perform.
I also gave performances at Mauritius. People were so happy with my show they interviewed me and articles about the same were printed in the local newspaper.
The Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation made me give a live performance and the same was telecasted all over the island.
